Please read these Terms of Service (“Terms”) carefully before using the ByteBreak mobile application (“App”) and the bytebreak.app website (“Website”), operated by ByteBreak (“we,” “our,” or “us”).

By downloading, installing, or using ByteBreak, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Description of Service

ByteBreak is a developer wellness application that provides:

  • Pomodoro-style focus timer with customizable intervals (25, 45, or 60 minutes)
  • Hydration tracking with support for multiple drink types
  • Guided stretching and exercise routines designed for developers
  • Achievement badges, XP system, and progress statistics
  • Customizable avatars, themes, sounds, and haptics

2. Eligibility

ByteBreak is rated 4+ and available to users of all ages. No account creation is required to use the App.

3. Subscriptions and Payments

Free Plan (Starter)

The Starter plan is free and includes the Pomodoro focus timer, basic exercises, hydration tracking, and one avatar style. No payment or account is required.

Paid Plans

  • Pro — $4.99/month: All exercise sets, detailed statistics and charts, custom avatars and themes, sound and haptic options.
  • Annual — $29.99/year (save 50%): Everything in Pro, plus priority support, early access to features, and exclusive badges and XP boosts.

All payments are processed through the Apple App Store. Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your device’s Settings > Your Name > Subscriptions.

Free Trials

If a free trial is offered, it will convert to a paid subscription at the end of the trial period unless you cancel before the trial ends.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
  • Modify, adapt, or create derivative works based on the App
  • Use the App for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to bypass any security features or access restrictions
  • Redistribute, sublicense, or resell the App

5. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of ByteBreak — including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, icons, images, audio, animations, and software — are the exclusive property of ByteBreak and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

6. Health Disclaimer

ByteBreak provides general wellness features such as break reminders, hydration tracking, and guided stretches. The App is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice. The exercises and health suggestions are for general wellness purposes only. Always consult a healthcare professional before starting any exercise program, especially if you have pre-existing health conditions.

7. Data and Privacy

All user data is stored locally on your device. We do not collect, transmit, or store personal data on external servers. For full details, please review our Privacy Policy.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

ByteBreak is provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. Your use of the App is at your sole risk.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, ByteBreak shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, use, or profits, arising out of or related to your use of the App, regardless of the cause of action.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend access to the App at any time, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users or the App.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which ByteBreak operates, without regard to conflict of law principles.
