ByteBreak (“we,” “our,” or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use the ByteBreak mobile application (“App”) and our website at bytebreak.app (“Website”).

Data Stored on Your Device Only

ByteBreak is designed with privacy at its core. All your personal data stays on your device. We do not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on external servers. The following data is stored locally on your device only:

  • Focus timer session history and statistics
  • Hydration tracking logs
  • Exercise completion records
  • Achievement badges and XP progress
  • App preferences and settings
  • Avatar and theme customizations

Subscription Information

If you purchase a Pro or Annual subscription, the transaction is processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store your payment details, credit card number, or billing address. Apple may share a transaction receipt with us solely to verify your subscription status.

2. Information We Do NOT Collect

We do not collect:

  • Personal identification information (name, email, phone number)
  • Location data
  • Device identifiers or advertising IDs
  • Usage analytics or behavioral tracking data
  • Contacts, photos, or other device data
  • Health data beyond what you voluntarily log in the app

3. Third-Party Services

The ByteBreak App does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. We do not share any data with third parties.

Our website (bytebreak.app) may use:

  • Google Analytics — to understand website traffic (not app usage). This is governed by Google’s Privacy Policy.
  • Cookies — essential cookies for website functionality only. No advertising or tracking cookies are used.

4. Data Retention

Since all app data is stored locally on your device, you have full control over it. You can delete all ByteBreak data at any time by:

  • Deleting the app from your device
  • Using the reset option within the app settings

5. Children’s Privacy

ByteBreak is rated 4+ and is suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Since we do not collect any personal data from any users, this policy applies equally to users of all ages.

6. Security

Your data is protected by your device’s built-in security features, including encryption and biometric locks. Since data never leaves your device, there is no risk of server-side data breaches.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access all your data (it’s on your device)
  • Delete all your data at any time
  • Use the app without providing any personal information
